Recently on r/AskReddit the question “What’s a situation that most people won’t understand until they’ve been in the same situation themselves” was posed. The answers spanned some of the most traumatic adult situations like losing a parent and nearly pooping yourself while driving. Still, both are situations that you wouldn’t fully understand until you’re in it.
This Reddit thread took some very interesting turns, adding a lot of clarity on some unique experiences. One user talks about the scary feeling of being lost in the woods. Every once in a while there's a news story about someone being rescued from being lost in the woods and commenters under those news stories don’t understand how someone can’t find their way back on the trail or highway. According to Reddit users, the forest is incredibly disorienting and it’s super easy to find yourself lost even if you’re an experienced woodsman.
